  • I know the Civil War wasn't about religion. I guess it doesn't make sense to you as my comment was really geared toward someone who was questioning someone else's comment regarding proof that Christian people killed the same as those of any other faith throughout history.

  • My point again. He had his own justification for what he did and what he did was murder innocent people and ruin their families' lives. There's no difference. Murder is murder, regardless of religious or non-religious beliefs.

  • Just a thought here. The U.S. claims to be a "Christian" nation. Yet, during the Civil War (an oxymoron-nothing civil about war) approximately 620,000 Americans were killed, by other Americans, who claim Christianity.

  • I agree. I found out about my great uncle via the news. I was watching it one night a number of years ago and there he was on the recording telling how he just shot his wife and was going to kill himself. I was mortified. His wife had Alzheimer's and they had a pact between them.

  • I had one hospital birth, with a wonderful midwife. She did everything I asked of her-turning down the lighting, no episiotomy, etc., except they could not do a Leboye bath. (1976) The birth went beautifully. My other two were at home with the assistance of a midwife, one in 1985 and one in 1987.

  • I wanted to have the Health Savings Account.  But the law is stupid.  In order to qualify, you must first have primary insurance.  Because of the cost of insurance and our lack of income to support it, we have no insurance.  Seems to me I should be able to have a Health Savings …
